I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! Mine was excellent. And my family was so sweet and wanted to celebrate it all weekend long! They made me feel incredibly special. But now we are back to another week. It is already looking like it will be crazy busy here with the end of school approaching so rapidly!
Anyway... Last week on the American Crafts blog it was spray mist week! Such a fun theme. I love using spray mists. They are perfect for ink splats and unique backgrounds. The colors are so fun and playing with them is just awesome. Anyway, I was thrilled to be asked to use them on a project!
So here is my first beach page for 2012. We hit the beach over spring break in April for a few days. You know I love the beach. The girls all do too. I wish we could move there.
I made the rays with a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock that I had cut a V shape out of. I used this cardstock as a mask for my misting. To get the gradual fade of the mist, I sprayed, holding it close to my background paper but on a slight angle. It can really make for a fun effect.
But wait! I made a card too!
Just a fun tie-dyed like background.
For these projects I used the new Dear Lizzy Neapolitan and Amy Tangerine Sketchbook lines.
Well, happy Monday all! And thanks for stopping by!
