Sketchpad Class - Sketch 2

So I had every intention of doing Kelly Purkey's Sketchpad class weekly, and, well, obviously, that did not happen, not even at the beginning. So it has been two weeks today, so I will try for that.

The second sketch in the class was a little harder for me to visualize at first. It did not have as much white space as I usually like, so I had to brainstorm some ideas first and resize it all to fit. Here is my take on Sketch #2.

My elements are smaller, but I stayed fairly true to the sketch.

This day was really fun. After church we all headed down to dear hubby's work. He showed me his new office which was bigger and had more windows and the girls were super happy because they got cans of soda pop and treats from the break room. They can be really easy to please at times. Both of these pictures were taken on my phone and I used a couple of the more recent Studio Calico kits to create this page.

Well, that is all for today! I am going to get a jump on the 3rd KP sketch so I get further behind. I saw from a couple of weeks ago that some of you also got this class. If you do any of the sketches I'd love to see your projects, so please link me to them!

Have a happy Wednesday all!

(Note: I am not affiliated at all with Kelly Purkey or her Sketchpad class. I bought it myself and asked her if it was ok to post my projects using it online. I am not going to post her sketches here, because she did the work for it, but I do encourage you to look into her class if you like playing with sketches. The inspiration is really fabulous!)

  4. This is FANTASTIC! I just used an Ormolu "Saturday" tag on a layout in almost the same way the other day -- uncanny! We must follow the same scrappy train of thought. ;)
