Creative Scrappers #188

Where was I that I missed Creative Scrappers? I stumbled upon them the other day and saw the newest sketch (#188) and knew I needed to play along. So this was the first thing I worked on last night at our girls night at Archivers.

So here is my take...

And some close ups...

This is another photo from this girl's 8 year old birthday shoot. I know, I have a ton of these pictures, but I just love them all so how can I not scrapbook them all? And then I used the December Studio Calico kit. I LOVE the Ali Thickers in it. I so wish I could get some more of those!

Anyway, have a Happy New Year. Be safe. Thanks for stopping by!

Sketchy Thursdays 12.29

Welcome back to the weekly Sketchy Thursday's sketch! I hope you had a nice holiday break and a chance to take a lot of new pictures to scrapbook!

Today's sketch is a great one if you want to get a bunch of photos scrapbooked. Here is it...

I have a few holiday pictures to scrapbook, but I also wanted to use the new Flutterbys from American Crafts and since they did not go with my Christmas pictures, I had to find something else. Here is my page.

Some close ups...

She was so cute. Still is, of course. :-)

So, get scrapping ladies! Make sure you link up those pages. And thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

A fun assignment for December from American Crafts was a page makeover. AWESOME! I love getting to do this.

So here is the one and only Christmas page I did for Christmas 2009...

The part about this page that cracked me up was the title. It is HUGE! And the spacing was awkward. Funny how our styles change. (This was before I truly fell in love/became obsessed/couldn't live without Thickers.)

So here is the new page using American Crafts products...

I like the centered white space better and the title really tells the story about the photo WAY better. Plus I like the more traditional colors of the American Crafts papers and embellishments. But no matter what, it was a fun project.

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Have a joy filled day!

Our Day Out - American Crafts

I took this girl out for her birthday photo shoot and it turned into a mommy-daughter date. SO fun!!! We walked around the Square, had pizza for lunch, did some window shopping, and just enjoyed the time with just us together. We don't get a lot of one on one time with a big sister and a little sister, so we wanted to really enjoy it while we had it.

So here is another page to document the day using American Crafts products...

The Amy Tangerine embellishments are just so much fun!

Enjoy the holidays all!!! And thanks for stopping by!

Loving Some American Crafts

I think when most people see Chap by American Crafts they see boy pages. And I guess I would too if I had boys, but instead I see girl pages. Specifically, pages about my DD#2. She is not the only tomboy in our house, but the Chap colors are her favorite and I just love working with these papers with pictures of her.

Anyway, I took her 8 year old birthday pictures over Thanksgiving weekend and finally got around to editing them last week. Yeah, a little late. Plus I just posted a 7 year old page of her a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, I was behind because she was already 8 by then.

But here she is, the birthday girl, along with some Chap.

I used this challenge by the in house AC design team as inspiration. It was the coolest inspiration! It got me to try the little chevron thing for the first time.

Well, I hope you all are enjoying this time of year! Thanks for stopping by and seeing the birthday girl!

A close up (so you can see the Hambly awesomeness...

And a little about me...

1. I love coffee.
2. I love the beach.
3. My perfect day would start with sipping coffee on the beach watching the sunrise.
4. My favorite footwear is flip flops. I wear them about 9 months of the year.
5. I like to talk on the phone more than texting, Facebook, or email.
6. I did not tell my mom I started scrapbooking for almost a year because I was afraid she would make fun of me. (She didn't.)
7. I would like a retro pink toaster in my kitchen but it really wouldn't match.
8. I am a horrible house decorator. My house is basically blank.
9. My favorite clothes are jeans and a v-neck t-shirt.
10. My dear hubby truly is my best, best friend.

Well, that's about all. It is time for you to head on over to Felicitas's blog!! And make sure you go back to the Hambly blog and enter for the prize!!!!

Sketchy Thursdays 12.15 and some Hambly

I got some scrappy time in. YAY!!! Man, did I need it. And luckily there was a new Sketchy Thursdays sketch to play with.

I don't know about you but I saw a Christmas Tree in this sketch, so that is where I went with it. Take a look...

And some close ups...

And to make this even more fun, most of the products I used on this one are Hambly!!! The overlays make for a cute effect for the tree and their rub ons are fabulous. Plus, now I have scrapbooked Christmas from last year. (Okay, and I have that George Michael song running through my head... "Last Christmas, I gave you my heart..." LOL.)

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. I know you are busy with the holidays and all but take some time for yourself and play along with us at Sketchy Thursdays! You get two weeks!

Some Hambly to share

I have a couple of Hambly pages I wanted to share. I had a really good time working with these products and I am SO EXCITED about this upcoming year with them!!! They have so much amazing stuff!

This old building that they are in front of is on the market to be sold. Since i took this picture, someone, the owners or whoever has really cleaned up the property, cutting down the wild bushes and weeds. Now, there is more wall space to use as backgrounds. I am considering sneaking over there again. Now for the time...

I took this girl out for her 8 year old birthday photo shoot after Thanksgiving, so I guess this page really needs to get updated, since she is no longer 7. They grow up way too fast!!!

Well, off to get to work! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
